Noreen West, Town of Rosendale

The late Phyllis Noreen donated a conservation easement on 100 acres in the Town of Rosendale in November 2001. This easement, which bears her name includes a among other habiitats, a healthy hemlock forest and a stream with associated wetlands. The easement specifically preserves open space and biodiversity. In 2013, Phyllis wished to add additional restrictions to the existing easement, and include the remainder of her property, creating the Noreen East Amendment of a total 133.8 protected acres in Rosendale.
