The Pollinator Pathway: Winter Seed Sowing Workshop

The Wallkill Valley Pollinator Pathway invites you to join us for a

Winter Seed Sowing Workshop
Saturday, January 21, 2023
11am to 1pm
Registration required – Limit 20 people

$10 includes all materials for two containers

Planting for pollinators and buying native plants can get expensive. Winter seed sowing into containers is one way to reduce that expense. In this workshop you will learn how to sow seeds in winter. You will leave with two planted containers, after which you can continue to expand your native plantings with more seed sowing this winter.

The workshop will be facilitated by Angela Sisson from the Wallkill Valley Pollinator Pathway which has been helping people plant pollinator friendly gardens, including the recent pollinator garden at the library.

Joining the pathway is easy—just start doing these three things:

  1. Start planting native species,
  2. Start removing invasive species, and
  3. Avoid pesticides, especially insecticides.
