Pollinator Meadow Preparation - Sunday, May 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Call for Volunteers: learn how to prepare a native meadow to support pollinators at risk of local extinction on this farm in Gardiner NY, protected by a WVLT easement. We will start by filling sandbags and then lay tarps on two areas–a lawn and a field. The tarps will be held in place by the sandbags and will smother the existing plants over the summer, enabling us to sow meadow seeds this fall. Watch for the volunteer meadow seeding event in mid-November.

This meadow is one of four anchor sites for Pollinate Now!, a project of Partners for Climate Action Hudson Valley. Learn More about Pollinate Now! Refreshments will be provided. Address shared after registration.
