Celebrate Trails Day 2026
This year we enjoyed an informative tree walk led by naturalist Tom O’Dowd on Huguenot Street in New Paltz. Participants tested their knowledge of tree identification and tried to “stump” Tom with a wide variety of questions.

Another group tackled overgrowth and trash on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail in New Paltz, including our “Weston” parcel which has a small board walk on it.
And farther north, a group worked on spring cleaning the Kingston Greenline, partnering with the City of Kingston to make sure this popular trails system is ready for the community to enjoy!
Make sure you save the date as we host Celebrate Trails Day annually on the fourth Saturday in April, Organized by the Rails to Trails Conservancy, this event encourages everyone to get outside, enjoy trails, and participate in community activities.
