One of our goals at the Wallkill Valley Land Trust is to provide access to open space for our community to connect with the land around us. Whether you walk, run, bike, hike, or birdwatch, we offer public trails for you to get outside and connect with nature.
Wallkill Valley Rail Trail – 22+ mile rail trail and linear park that winds along the former Wallkill Valley Railroad rail corridor
Joppenbergh Mountain – a nearly 500-foot tall mountain in Rosendale with trails leading to the top of the mountain and views across the valley from the summit
Nature Preserves – explore our three nature preserves offering diverse recreational and educational opportunities
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Ulster County by conserving lands of scenic, agricultural, ecological, recreational, and cultural significance.
