Many hands make light work! With a small staff and over 3,100 acres of land to steward, volunteers help us to protect more open spaces, trails, and farms. Whether it’s cleaning up the trails, helping out in our office, or sharing a skill, every bit helps.

How can you help?

Attend a volunteer workday on one of our nature preserves or trails.
- Third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm work day at Joppenbergh Mountain in Rosendale. (Complete waiver to receive updates prior to workday)
- Rotating work days at the Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary. (Complete waiver to learn about next scheduled day)
Join WVLT staff at education or outreach events
Help WVLT staff with a special project in the office
Assist at our annual events: April ~ Celebrate Trails Day. October ~ Rosendale Runs
