Announcing WVLT 1st Wednesdays Dog Walk – Dog Days of Summer Edition!

Get ready to beat the heat with our launch of Dog Days of Summer edition of the WVLT’s 1st Wednesdays Dog Walk on the beautiful WVLT protected lands! This is a fantastic chance for dog owners and their furry companions to enjoy the summer sunshine together while exploring our stunning local protected lands with WVLT’s Executive Director and one of her rescued dogs.

When? Wednesday, August 7 meet at 6 pm behind the Rosendale Theater at Willow Kiln Park. We will take the 1.02 mile Buteo Trail. Bring your well-behaved pups and join us for a cool and refreshing walk in the woods of Joppenbergh Mountain in Rosendale on Wednesday, August 7th at 6 pm. This is a great way to make the most of the summer season, meet fellow dog lovers, and enjoy the great outdoors with your canine friends. You might even learn something new from Dog Walk leader Christie!

The walk will be at a casual pace, under the forest cover. Heavy rains will cancel. Please RSVP so we know to expect you!

Event Details for WVLT’s 1st Wednesdays Dog Walks:

• Location: Wallkill Valley Land Trust protected lands
• Frequency: 1st Wednesday of each month at 6 pm
• Requirements:
  • Dogs must be on a 6 foot leash at all times.
  • Dogs should be comfortable around other dogs and people.
  • Dogs must be vaccinated as per NYS requirements.
  • Owners must carry dog waste bags, pick up after their dogs, and carry the waste out with them.
